Over the Christmas Break our SCS technology support partners were hard at work installing new speakers in the lower hall classrooms. Our technology room also received a major upgrade with the installation of new speakers, a wireless microphone system, and a HDTV for streaming via chrome cast and apple TV. Our students will use this new technology to better their presentation skills and increase their knowledge of streaming from multiple technology platforms. Students in grades 2-8 will be casting their Google Slides presentations in beautiful high definition, right from their technology...

The seventh grade is working on their Nutcracker Scale Drawing Project as a culminating activity to their unit on proportions in Mrs. McElroy’s and Mrs Barbarito’s joint math class period. Keep an eye out at our Christmas Show on December 20 to see their final project.

Week of Code was a big success. All the way from Pre-k 3 to the 8th grade. Pre-k 3 and 4 did the Daisy the Dinosaur app and once they got the hang of it they seemed to be having a lot of fun using the command functions to make Daisy grow, shrink, jump,roll and spin. Our 8th graders also came in to assist Prek-3 which was a big help, as well as Kindergarten. 2nd graders also started to code with Daisy the Dinosaur. They were able to use code through the many levels of the challenge mode. They loved it so much we are going to continue coding next week on code.org. a more advanced coding...
