Our Parish welcomed Bishop Cruz this weekend to SCS as he confirmed our 9th grade alumni on Friday and Saturday. Bishop Cruz and Fr. Tom Quinn (SCS alumni) also stopped into the school and surprised students playing basketball with a warm hello.

Our forensics team had a successful first meet yesterday hosted at SCS. Nine schools of the Archdiocese of Newark competed against each other. Both Brooke & Rebecca H. made the final round which showcases the top 12 students in the meet. Team members Patrick D., Erin M., Katrina G., and Margot K., also scored very well against their peers. Work is now being planned for the Declamation/Speech meet at Lacordaire in December.

He was recognized at a special ceremony at the Cedar Grove Public Library on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. His essay will be on display for the month of October at the library. Great Job Michael!
